Master Programme in Resource Recovery - Biotechnology and Bioeconomy

Dear new student!

It is my pleasure to welcome you here for you two years studies at the International Master of Science program; Resource Recovery-Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, TAREB. And you are most welcome to Borås, a wonderful city in the west of Sweden. Borås was awarded 2020-2021 years Student city in Sweden and the city is currently celebrating it´s 400 year anniversary, meaning a lot of activities. Borås is also hosting an Art Biennale until the end of September, decorating the city with different art as sculptures, installations etc. Borås has it’s own idea page for students to find different activities; https://www.boras.com/en/ , with tips and ideas on what to do or were to go.

The University provides help and support in many areas such as search, language support, study planning or work shops; Support - University of Borås (hb.se), International student support - University of Borås (hb.se). The semester will start as planned Monday 30 of August with an introduction by the student Union; studentkareniboras.se.

I will meet you first time Tuesday 31 of August at distance by zoom (follow this link: https://hb-se.zoom.us/j/64789466002) or in the classroom D311 from 9:00 AM. And to help students that might be delayed because of the current situation, it will be possible to follow the start of the courses both at campus and at distance for the first weeks.
