New Version of Zoom

We have now enabled Zoom Hybrid, a new version of Zoom that, as before, is hosted in SUNET's and NORDUnet's data centres. The new platform offers a range of enhanced features, including AI-powered tools, transcription services, and other improvements to the meeting experience.

Configuration of all settings is still ongoing, but you can already begin exploring and testing the new features.

As with the previous version, audio and video data are, by default, processed within the SUNET/NORDUnet network. Please note, however, that the use of certain new features may result in data being transferred to third countries. If your meeting contains sensitive information, you should carefully consider whether these features should be enabled.

If you create a meeting with end-to-end encryption (E2EE) enabled, you can be assured that meeting data will not be shared with anyone other than the meeting participants.
