WiFi

To create a code for the wireless network Eduroam, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Selfservice Portal at: https://selfservice.hb.se
2. Select "Log in"
   
3. Choose a login option
   
4. Once you are in the Selfservice Portal, click on "Wi-Fi Network" in the menu.
   
5. Click on "Generate Eduroam Code" in the menu. Then click the "Generate" button a bit further down the page.
   
   You will now receive a new Eduroam code that can only be used to connect to Eduroam. This password is generated only once, which means it will not be the same password the next time you request a new password for Eduroam.

Here are the login details for Eduroam:

Username: [your student ID]@hb.se
Password: Password created via the Selfservice Portal

You have now completed the creation of a new password for Eduroam. If you have had a password for Eduroam previously and on several different devices, you need to change the password on all these devices to the new one.

If you have already generated a code for Eduroam, you can view it if you have forgotten it.

1. Go to the Selfservice Portal at: https://selfservice.hb.se
2. Select "Log in"
   
3. Choose a login option
   
4. Once you are in the Selfservice Portal, click on "Wi-Fi Network" in the menu.
   
5. Click on "Show Eduroam Code" in the menu. Then click the "Show Code" button a bit further down the page.
   

You will now see your personal Eduroam details on the page.

Here are the login details for Eduroam:

Username: [your student ID]@hb.se
Password: Password created via the Selfservice Portal

1. Click on the globe icon in the lower right corner
2. Click on eduroam and click on connect
3. Enter StudentID@hb.se as the username (e.g. S123456@hb.se) and your personal Eduroam code, then click OK
4. Check that this certificate matches before you accept. You can click on Show certificate details to see this (see image below):
   Issued to: eduroam.hb.se
   Issued by: GEANT OV RSA CA 4
5. Click on Connect

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right corner and select Eduroam
   
2. Enter StudentID@hb.se as the username (e.g. S123456@hb.se) and your personal Eduroam code, then click "OK". You can generate an Eduroam code or show existing code in the Selfservice Portal.
   
3. Check that the certificate matches before you accept by clicking on "Show certificate"
   Issued to: eduroam.hb.se
   Issued by: GEANT OV RSA CA 4
   
4. Click "Continue" to connect to Eduroam.
   

1. Open "System Preferences" and tap on "WiFi". Then select the network "Eduroam"
2. Enter StudentID@hb.se as the username (e.g. S123456@hb.se) and your personal Eduroam code that you've generated in the Selfservice Portal, then click Connect
3. If you are prompted about a certificate, tap "Trust" at the top right.
4. If the login is successful, a blue checkmark will appear to the left of the network. You are now ready to use Eduroam on your iPhone.
   

Connect an Android or Chromebook to Eduroam WiFi

1. Go to WiFi settings and choose "Eduroam"
   
2. Check that the settings are as shown in the picture below. Replace s012345@hb.se and Password with your own login for Eduroam. Then press "Connect".
   
3. If the login credentials work, it says "Connected"
   

Eduroam on Linux

Configuration using the graphical tool in GNOME.

• Select the network Eduroam
• Log in using the login window:
  
  • Username: [StudentID]@hb.se
    (Ex. S123456@hb.se)
  • Password: Your personal Eduroam code generated via the Selfservice Portalen
• The first time you log in, a certificate question will appear. Check that this certificate matches before you accept:
• Issued to: radius.hb.se
  Issued by: GEANT OV RSA CA 4
• Check "Do not warn again" and then select "Ignore".

Other General Network Settings

• SSID (network name): eduroam
• Network Authentication: WPA2
• Data Encryption: AES
• EAP Type: PEAP
• Phase 2 EAP Authentication: MSCHAP v2
• CA Certificate: "Do not validate"
  

  Having trouble connecting despite these settings?
  On some Android/Chromebook devices, you need to change:

  
  CA Certificate: "Use system certificates"
  Domain: "hb.se"

• Identity: [username]@hb.se (e.g., S012345@hb.se)
• Anonymous Identity: Leave blank
• Password: Password shown in the Selfservice Portal (see instructions above on the page)
• TCP/IP Settings for the card (including DNS): DHCP
