The idea behind our work is that work practices and scientific approaches are two interwoven perspectives which enrich each other, just as research and education do.

The challenges for the library and information science are tangible and exciting. Cross-disciplinary collaborations provide new opportunities to develop relevance to the profession.

Åsa Söderlind, Head of department at the Swedish School of Library of Information Science

Students, teachers and researchers who come to us will broaden their horizons, create new contacts and contribute to developing an environment which is already outstanding. SSLIS is a place where trade, industry and society meet in cross-boundary cooperation. As a student here, you will have opportunities to develop an international perspective through overseas studies as well as through contact with teachers, researchers, projects and other students with international backgrounds and connections.
