Library and Information Science

At the Swedish School of Library and Information Science, courses are developed in close interaction with both the global as well as local society. Exchange students study the courses alongside our programme students.

The course Methods and Tools in Libraries is open to students studying library and information science at their home institution, as well as any student interested in exploring the subject further.

We are currently developing a 7,5 credit course about academic freedom, based on the Scholars at Risk Student Advocacy Seminars. It is expected to be available from autumn 2027 onwards. It will be open to all students interested in questions of democracy and academic freedom.

Each semester is divided into two study periods. For full time studies (30 ECTS), please select courses equivalent of 15 ECTS in each period. Please note that course offerings are subject to change.

If you have any questions, please contact the International Office at internationalstudent@hb.se.
