Spring semester 2021
The International Office at the University of Borås is working under the assumtion that things will be back to normal before the start of the spring semester 2021. The University of Borås offers courses to exchange students at the Bachelor's as well as Master's level.

- Textile Engineering and Textile Management
- Library and Information Science
- Informatics and IT
- Swedish Language Courses
How to apply
Incoming exchange students apply through our online application system called TransIT. Please note that you must be nominated by your home university in order to apply.
All documents uploaded in your application must be issued in English.
Autumn Semester: 15 April
Spring Semester: 15 October
Autumn Semester: 1 May
Spring Semester: 1 November
Please respect the application deadlines. If we receive your application after 1 May/1 November, you may only be granted admission if there are study spots available and you meet the entry requirements.
Admission letters are issued to admitted students at the end of May/November.
Since the language of instruction and course literature for exchange students is English, the students need sufficient English language skills. The faculties require that the applying students submit documents that prove their proficiency in English equivalent to B2 level (i.e. TOEFL test or a language of instruction certificate from your university). The B2 level is basic and some study programmes may have special requirements. Please contact the International Office if you have any questions.
