I work as a professor within the field of resource recovery. Our group studies how different actors, such as households and supermarkets, can reduce different types of waste and improve sorting of the waste that will inevitably occur. At present we focus on packaging and food waste. As part of this work we study the social, economic and environmental impacts of this waste and the incorrect sorting of waste. The knowledge that we gain is used to improve, or develop new ways, to recycle waste.

I have worked at the University of Borås since 2000. Before that, I studied as a post-doc at Wayne State University, USA, and as a PhD student at Gothenburg University, Sweden.
