Daniel Hjelmgren is Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Swedish School of Textiles at the University of Borås in Sweden. He received his doctoral degree in Industrial Marketing at the Department of Technology Management and Economics, at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2005. His main research interests are in the areas of industrial networks and circular business models, where he focuses on the textile and fashion industry. In addition to the enablers and barriers in relation to the second-hand market, his research has dealt with re-design, proximity manufacturing, and renting systems for clothes. He has published in Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Innovative Marketing, Italian Journal of Management, Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, and International Journal of Logistics Management.
