The Swedish School of Textiles’ Exit26 graduate show has attracted international attention during Copenhagen Fashion Week, with media describing it as impressive, experimental and a reminder that fashion is meant to be fun.

Students at the Swedish School of Textiles have been named winners of the highly prestigious Loro Piana Knit Design Award 2026, an international design competition in which students from eight leading fashion and design schools participated.

The pop-up exhibition Soft + Ware: Rethinking Fashion and Textiles presents fashion and textile design in a digital shift. The exhibition is shown at Omstart mode and brings together works from research at the Swedish School of Textiles, as well as from its fashion and textile design programmes.

A new research study at the University of Borås shows that mixed, coloured polyester waste can be given a homogen new colour without the use of either water or chemicals. By using supercritical carbon dioxide, dyes are redistributed between textiles rather than removed, which could help address one of the major barriers to circular textile recycling.

As a part of finalizing the EU-funded W4TEX project (January 2023-April 2026), all developed learning materials for learners and educators are now fully available. These materials have been used and engaged with during several impactful events in Sweden and internationally - in project partner countries (Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece and Ukraine).
